Camblesforth Hall and Grange is a captivating wedding venue nestled in the North Yorkshire countryside, seamlessly blending historical elegance with modern versatility. This Grade I listed manor house, dating back to around 1690 and attributed to architect John Etty, has been meticulously restored by owners Naomi and Byron Ward since 2020, transforming it from a state of disrepair into a cherished family home and exclusive wedding destination.
Historical Significance
Originally constructed in the late 17th century, Camblesforth Hall stands as a testament to Georgian architecture. The manor features reddish-brown brickwork, stone dressings, and a hipped slate roof. Inside, much of the original interior survives, including staircases, paneling, plastered ceilings, and fireplaces. A notable discovery during restoration was the name “Francis Mary Adams” etched into a windowpane, believed to be from a mid-18th-century resident.
