Beth and Toby’s York Wedding
This was a wedding day to remember! We had three venues in one day; York Registry Office, York City Centre and Mercure Fairfield Manor York.
It’s been ages since I photographed my last wedding! But hopefully it won’t be long until I’m back photographing weddings again. Fingers crossed eh!
I was looking through weddings albums and noticed that I haven’t written a blog about Toby and Beth’s wedding day. I originally met Toby and Beth at Toby’s sisters wedding in May 2019, but they had already booked a wedding photographer for their September 2019 wedding which I was really disappointed about!
Fast forward to 2 weeks before Toby and Beth’s wedding, and I get an urgent sounding voicemail from Toby’s sister. She informed me that their photographer had to cancel on them at short notice and asked whether I am free. Luckily I was so I called them and we had a long chat about all their wedding plans.
The countdown to their wedding flew by; there I was waiting outside York Registry Office waiting for them to arrive. It was lovely to see Toby and his family again and to also meet Beth and her family.
Beth and Toby’s York Registry Office wedding
The ceremony was held in the larger room at York Registry Office which fits around 50 wedding guests. It lasted around 20 minutes and was filled with laughter and smiles the whole way through. This was followed with some family photographs in the beautiful gardens of the Registry office. Then the bride, groom and myself went for a quick diversion to get some gorgeous newlywed images around York City Centre including the busy Shambles and York Minster.
Beth and Toby’s wedding reception at Mercure Fairfield Manor York
The wedding reception was held at Mercure York Fairfield Manor where we were greeted by fabulous staff and gorgeous sunshine. We took this opportunity to photograph the rest of the group photographs out on the grounds.
The food was amazing, the speeches were full of emotions, and the disco was lively and filled the dance floor. To top off a fantastic day, we were graced with a stunning sunset, which you can watch from the grounds of the Mercure York Fairfield Manor.
Thank you Toby, Beth and both your family and friends for welcoming me so warmly, and for allowing me to share in a fantastic wedding day. And thank you for your very sweet testimonial, it means the world to me that I was able to share your special day with you in the end.
