Officially ‘Qualified’!

I am over the moon to share with you that I received an exciting little email over the weekend from The Guild of Professional Photographers, informing me that I am now officially Qualified with them, but what does this mean exactly? Taken form the Guild of Photographer’s website:

“Our ‘Qualified’ status indicates professional ‘competence’ to a level where the Guild is willing to recognise the photographer as an ambassador of the association, so those who achieve that level should be proud of doing so.”

This involved me submitting a panel of 21 of my best pet pawtrait images that I’ve photographed so far, edited to my highest standard and sent to a panel of three judges to evaluate and critique. A lot of the images had already been submitted to the Image of the Month competition which I enter with the Guild of Photographers each month, again so my work can be critiqued and I can continue to improve and provide the best possible service and quality for you.

With staying home at the moment, this is giving me the chance to plan and work towards achieving my next goal in my photography journey; Craftsman status. This is an incredible title, awarded to those who display true Craftsmanship in the art of photography. I absolutely love creating works of art for you and will be learning how to adapt my editing style to achieve this. I am still always working behind the scenes to continuously improve at what I love doing, photographing your gorgeous furry family members so you have memories of them to last a lifetime.
