Every part of Hazlewood Castle has photographic potential, but these are the four moments I always look forward to most on the day.

The grand entrance and driveway. That long approach lined with trees and open lawn has a genuinely cinematic quality. When a bride arrives or a newly married couple walks out into that light together, the driveway gives you something no indoor venue can replicate.
The stone courtyard confetti shot. Natural light bounces off those ancient walls and wraps around the couple in the most beautiful warm glow. Add a big, colourful confetti throw and you’ve got an image packed with joy and colour – exactly my style.
Golden hour on the grounds. On a summer or early autumn wedding, late afternoon light on the castle façade is breathtaking. I’ve photographed couples in that warm golden light and the results genuinely stop people in their tracks. It’s worth building into your timeline if you can.
The reception room before guests arrive. Hazlewood Castle’s interiors have incredible character – the décor, the centrepieces, the atmospheric lighting. I always love getting in there while it’s still perfectly set, before the chairs get moved and the tablecloths get touched.
